[This archive is being made available initially to members of the Genie Online Service Disney RoundTable.] Welcome to Al's virtual tour of Disneyland Main Street, U.S.A.! The "tour" contains dozens of locations using over 140 images which were taken with a digital camera in August of 1996. Using a series of HTML (i.e., world wide web!) files, you can move throughout Main Street looking in all directions from the entrance gates on up to the castle and entrances to Frontierland, Adventureland, and Tomorrowland. In order to view this tour, you will need some form of HTML browser that supports JPG/GIF images and tables. If you already have Netscape, you can use it to view this tour by going to the FILE menu and selecting "Open File" or by typing in the full path to the first tour file in the "URL LocatioN" box, such as: "C:\TOUR\dlmsinfo.htm". If you do not have a web browser, you can use an offline viewer such as NavRoad by FAICO Information Solutions which has a demo version available for download. As of this writing, the current version was 1.41 and the files to look for ar "nr16-141.zip" for the 16-bit Windows-3 version or "nr32-141.zip" for the 32-bit Windows-95/NT version. I recommend NavRoad since it seems to fully support all the things this "tour" contains, and it also will run on a system as small as a 286 running Windows. I am sure other offline browsers are available which will work, but I don't have any to suggest. Since this "tour" is done using HTML, _any_ web enabled computer type should be able to view them, such as Amiga, Atari ST, Macintosh, MM/1, etc. INSTALLATION: Create a directory/folder which will hold the tour. Use an unzip program, such as "pkunzip" or "winzip", to extract the following files into the new directory/folder you just created: DLMS1of6.zip DLMS2of6.zip DLMS3of6.zip DLMS4of6.zip DLMS5of6.zip DLMS6of6.zip These six files contain all the .htm, .jpg, and .gif files needed to recreate the complete tour. Once you have all the files extracted, load up your web browser (or offline viewer) and select/open the file "dlmsinfo.htm" to start the tour. This screen will give further instructions on moving around inside the tour. Enjoy!
